Virginia Tech’s NCAA Certification Team consists of a Steering Committee and three subcommittees: Governance and Commitment to Rules Compliance, Academic Integrity, and Equity and Student-Athlete Well-Being. Each of these committees represents a broad cross-section of the University and includes faculty, staff, administrators and students. Please use the links to the right for complete committee lists.
To conduct the self-study each subcommittee has been charged with studying the implementation of relevant standards put forth by the NCAA to which all Division I schools must adhere (called Operating Principles). Each subcommittee will use the appropriate Operating Principles referenced in the NCAA Self-Study Instrument as a guide with regard to collection and evaluation of information and recommendations for improvement. Please use the links to the right for more information on NCAA Operating Principles.
The Steering Committee has been charged with oversight of the entire self-study including reviewing and approving the information to be used in Virginia Tech’s final Self-Study Report.
